Tropical Oasis near Takapuna and Local Beaches

We enjoyed our stay overall. The house is in a quiet North Shore suburb with a distant sea view, and although it’s an older home, it has been renovated with a modern, well-equipped kitchen. It was clean, comfortable, and the garden was relaxing — a great base for exploring Auckland.There were a couple of issues that could be improved, especially given the price. The upstairs shower had transparent windows with no covering, despite photos showing a curtain, so there was no privacy. When I contacted the management company, it took several days to get a full response, and while they said they ordered a curtain, it didn’t help during our stay. The bond was also charged immediately upon booking instead of closer to arrival, though it was released quickly once I reached out. Lastly, the shower’s top transparent cover needed a better clean.Overall, the stay was positive and the property has a lot of potential. With some improvements to bathroom privacy, communication, and attention to detail — and perhaps even adding a BBQ — it could be excellent.
